St. Xavier's Godavari School is a school under the management of the Society of Jesus, an international Catholic religious order. The school was started in 1951 by the Jesuit Fathers. The school strives to achieve excellence, through the co-operation of talented, dedicated, qualified and experienced teachers, including Jesuit Volunteers International. Standing at the foot of Pulchowki, the serene campus provides a most peaceful environment to study and play. It is one of Kathmandu Valley's most sought after schools, where study and numerous extra-curricular activities go side by side. Situated 15 kilometers from downtown, SXG remains one of the oldest and most respected academic institutions in the Nepal. It's main attractions are the wide open fields, circular swimming pool, spread out buildings, sufficient classrooms, two computer labs, and many other facilities.
